Rebecca Buchanan

Clinician

Becca received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2017 and her master’s in mental health counseling & school adjustment counseling from Bridgewater State University in 2022. Becca Is a licensed school adjustment counselor and is a master level mental health counselor. Becca is currently working towards her LMHC. Rebecca has experience working in various settings such as Children and Family Services in the Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) & the Child Community Based Acute Treatment Unit (CBAT), Parks and Recreation summer camps, private and public school settings, special education settings, mental health settings, and has experience working with children and adolescents ages 5-18. Prior to becoming a mental health counselor Becca was a special education teacher for five years. She has an extensive background working with children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

Her areas of interest include children, adolescent and adult mental health, interpersonal relationships, mindfulness, communication, therapeutic play, creativity counseling, life transitions, and mindfulness. Rebecca facilitates a client centered theoretical orientation throughout her practice.

On her time off Rebecca enjoy’s traveling, exploring waterfalls, exercising, and cooking.
